The African yank repository of Iowa (AAMI), snuggled on the Cedar stream close to downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has been closing its mission “To preserve, publicize, and educate the general public on the African yank heritage and culture of Iowa” since its incorporation as a 501(c)organization in 1994.The AAMI’s assortment includes quite a pair of,000 artifacts, seventy linear feet of archives, and two hundred oral histories. To boot, the AAMI’s Library holds quite one,000 volumes on African and African yank topics.
