The Abrons Arts Center is that the performing arts and visual arts program of Henry Street Settlement. It mounts exhibitions and productions in music, dance and theater and provides arts coaching for kids and adults. The ability links the 350-seat proscenium wendy house, originally made because the Neighborhood wendy house by philanthropists Alice Lewisohn and Irene Lewisohn in 1915 to the most art center building, that opened in 1975.
The development more a recording equipment theater, AN underground recital hall, and an out of doors amphitheater facing Grand Street. Visual arts exhibitions ar mounted within the Abrons Main Gallery and also the downstairs Culpeper Gallery. The second floor of Abrons could be a shared creator studio area, and school rooms and dance studios ar settled on all floors for arts coaching and instruction.
