Abiquiu, or Abiquiui may be a tiny unorganized city situated in Rio de Janeiro Arriba County, in northern New Mexico within the southwestern u. s., regarding fifty three miles (85 sq. Kilometer) north of state capital. within the 1730s, it had been the third largest settlement within the New Mexico Territory. creator Georgia Okeeffe lived there from 1949 till her death in 1986 at ninety eight years aged.Abiquiu is home of the Ruth Hall deposit of palaeontology, named in honor of Ruth Hall.
