Vamanamoorthy Temple is located in Thrikkakara within 10 kms from east side of Cochin in Kerala. This place is fully covered with beautiful sceneries, landscape, rivers, and hills etc. It is also famously called as Thrikkakara Vamanamoorthy Temple. The word Thrikkakara is separated as “Thiru” “Kaal “and “Kara” which means “Land with the blessed foot.

Vamanamurthy temple, is the ancient temple dedicated to Vamana- the fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is located at Thrikkakkara. The temple holds a large number of lithic records, some of great historical significance. The annual festival is held in the month of August-September.One reason that this temple is noteworthy is because it is home to some lithic records of historic significance.

Taxi : After reaching Cochin, you can hire a cab, taxi, bus or auto-rickshaw to reach here.

BUS : Plenty of private buses ply from Ernakulam ( Kochi) to Trikkakara .

Train : Nearest railway station is at Ernakulam . From the station the temple is only at a distance of 7-8 Kms.

Air : Nedumbassery is the nearest international airport situated at a distance of 25 Kms from Trikkakara.

Others : Autorickshaw: This is a cheap method of transport between attractions. You can find an auto stand at almost every bus stop, and at important places near junctions and residential areas. Make sure you agree on a fare with the driver before the journey. The govt fixed rates starts at Rs 10 for the first 1.25 km and Rs 6 per km thereafter with a premium of 15% at night (7PM-6AM).
