Villetoureix is a commune in the Dordogne department in Aquitaine in southwestern France. Villetoureix is situated by the proximity of Riberac by the Dronne, along with Perigord. The villages constitutes the hamlets and settlements of La Pouyade, la Borie, Mayac and la Derame. The main town is situated by the hills of the Dronne.The first traces of inhabitants were in the Gallo-Roman times, later, the village was developed around the 17th century and the construction of the chateau named La Rigale.
