Antony is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 11.3 km (7.0 mi) from the center of Paris. Antony is a sub-prefecture of the Hauts-de-Seine department and the seat of the Arrondissement of Antony.The name Antony was recorded for the first time in a royal charter of 829 as Antoniacum, meaning “estate of Antonius”, a Gallo-Roman landowner.
