Bron is a commune in the Rhone department in eastern France. It lies 10 km (6.2 mi) east of Lyon. It is the sixth-largest suburb of the city of Lyon, and is adjacent to its east side. It forms part of the Urban Community of Lyon.Bron is home to part of the University of Lyon 2. The Bron campus is located on the south-eastern edge of the town, close to the Parc de Parilly and Saint-Priest.Bron is twinned with the Scottish new town of Cumbernauld.
