The rotunda of Our Lady and St. Catherine is a unique reminder of the Premyslid royal line. It was founded in about 1037; originally it was a part of the castle complex and served as a rectory church. The Most valuable are the preserved Romanesque wall paintings from approximately 1100, which depict, besides traditional biblical motives, the gallery of the Premyslid sovereigns with the central motive of Przemysl the Ploughman being asked to the royal throne.
