By Air : The closest airport is situated around 65 km from the hill station at the city of Trivandrum. There are regular flights to the airport. Place such as Chennai, Bangalore and other important cities are connected to the Trivandrum airport. Taxis are available from the airport to the hill station and they charge between Rs 800 and Rs 1200 depending on the type of vehicle. A/C taxis are also available.
By Train : Trivandrum Railway Station is the nearest one and this is one of the most important stations in the state. There are frequent trains from many parts of the country to Trivandrum. Ticket prices may vary according to the place of boarding. It is advisable to book pick up services through the resorts as they are safer.
By Bus : KSRTC buses are available from Trivandrum to the town of Ponmudi. These are a good option as the distance involved is short. Tickets will cost around Rs 100 for the trip. They are frequent and they depart from the main bus terminus. Nedumangad is also another bus station that is located close by.
