Vulcan County is a municipal district in Alberta, Canada.It is located in Census Division 6. The current boundaries of the municipality were set in 1951. The seat of the county is in the Town of Vulcan. In 2006, Vulcan County had a population of 3,718 living in 1,446 dwellings, a 1.6% decrease from 2001. The county has a land area of 5,430.06 km2 (2,096.56 sq mi) and a population density of 0.7 /km2 (1.8 /sq mi).
