Hanuman Gargh is an ancient city in the State of Rajasthan. There are many archeological sites that can be found in the area. The city is famous for its 900 years old fort that was the built by the Bhatti Rajputs and it is known as the Bhatner Fort. A Badhrakali Temple is situated near the city. This is situated near the Ghaggar River. The area around the fort is thought to very old and the archeological site around the place have produced many terra cotta utensils and a number of coins that are yet to be dated. There are many such sites that can been seen in the surrounding areas and they are a popular place for tourists who are interested in history. There are many festivals that can be seen in the city throughout the year. Some of the well known festivals are the Badrakali Mela, Gogameri Mela, Pallu Mela, Shila Mata Mela, Mahitab Singh, Ji Yadgari Mela and many others. Many pilgrims from the Northern parts of India attend the festivals. Some of these festivals take place every week and some of them are celebrated once in a year. Hanuman Gargh is well connected by road and rail as well. Hanuman Gargh is city of extremes and the climatic conditions are varied according to the seasons. There are two main seasons that the city experiences. Summer and winter seasons make up for most of the year. During the rest of the year the climate is mild and pleasant. The best time visit the place is from the months of September to March.

Hanumangarh is a city in northern Rajasthan state in western India, situated on the banks of the river Ghaggar, located about 400 km from Delhi. Nestled beautifully on the banks of the River Ghaggar, Hanumangarh is located in the colourful state of Rajasthan. It was formerly called as Bhatner as it was under the influence of Bhati Rajputs. The district includes seven Tehsils: Hanumangarh, Rawatsar, Nohar, Sangaria, Pilibanga, Bhadra and Tibbi. Bhupat son of king Bhati of Jaisalmer built the ancient fort, which is situated on the bank of river ghaggar in the year 295. The famous Tarain war which was fought between Mohammed Gouri and Prithviraj Chouhan is the present Talwara Jheel area of the district. The fact was revealed by research. Qutubuddin Aibak, Teymoor and Akbar also ruled the Bhatner. Teymoor wrote Tuzuk-e-Teymoory which is his biography. In that he has written that he never saw such a strongly built and secured fort in Hindustan. After defeating Bhatis, Emperor Soorat Singh of Bikaner captured Bhatner in the year of 1805. By Air : The nearest Airport from Hanumangarh is Chandigarh Airport, roughly five and half hour drive from the city. Chandigarh Airport is well connected to the major cities like Amritsar, New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Goa, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Leh.

By Train : The town has its own Railway Station called as Hanumangarh Railway Station. It is well connected with other cities like Jalore, Jaipur and Agra. Few trains such as Dli Jsm Express, Ghy Bme Bkn Express, Hw Bme Link Express and Klk Bme Express are available from Delhi, Kalka, Haridwar and Guwahati for Hanumangarh District.

By Bus : There is no direct bus between Jaipur and Hanumangarh. You can take Kalpana Travels Pvt. Ltd. from Jaipur to Rawatsar then take a taxi from Rawatsar to Hanumangarh

Bhadrakali Mela ; Venue:  Hanumangarh ; Period :  throughout the year ; Details:  The historical temple of Maa Bhadrakalliis situated 7 km from the district headquarter. The sixth emperor of Bikaner Maharaja Ram Singh said to have constructed this temple on Badshah Akbar’s desire. Though pilgrims visit the temple throughout the year but during the Mela days on Chaitra Sudi 8 and 9, thousands of pilgrims from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan visit the temple to worship MAA BHADRAKALI.
Pallu Mela ; Venue:  Hanumangarh ; Period :  October ; Details:  Pallu, around 80 km from the district headquarter, surrounded by sand dunes is a place where MATA BRAHMANI Mela takes place during Navaratras.
