Wendling´s Gothic Parish Church was dedicated to Saint Ulrich. It first appeared in historical documents in 1200.
The Gothic church was enlarged and remodeled in 1508. A fire destroyed the church and the entire tower in 1884 (more exactly, on October 1). But a new, 48 meter high tower was added in 1901, according to the plans of Schwanenstadt´s church tower. In 1998 the organ builder Andreas Kaltenbrunner created a new organ which was inaugurated in November 1998.
