Detail InformationEdit
In 1971, under the guidance of Capuchin padre of the North-Tyrolean order province, the “co-ordination expositur” of Braunau – St. Francisco came into existence. The consecration ceremony was performed by the auxiliary bishop Dr. Alois Wagner in 1976. All of a sudden, in 1979 the Capuchins left Braunau and the parish was taken over by the diocese of Linz.
In autumn of 1982 the salvation faculty Braunau – St. Francisco was founded (until 1996). A special day in the history of the parish was January 1st in 1985. Up to now the parish St. Francisco is independent and self-supporting. The parish hall has been used for divine service from the very first, on the initiative of the diocese of Linz it was renewed in 2003.
