Stift Stams Monastery is located at about 8km from Obsteig. Cistercian abbey dating back from 1273, built by order of Elisabeth of Bavaria, originally in Roman style, rebuilt in Baroque style after the fire in the 16th century. In summer concerts with a difference take place here.
