Surrounded by reed beds and mountains, the garden city is located on 437 m above sea level, less than 10 km from Lake Constance. With approximately 48,000 inhabitants, is the most populous city of Dornbirn in the region, an important commercial center, exhibition center, shopping center, Vorarlberg and destination number 1 The mixture of urban life and rural atmosphere is the attraction of Dornbirn.
In the city there are houses from three centuries, the classical parish church of St. Martin and the market place as a meeting place. Here you meet while shopping, to joyous celebrations, weekly markets and to relax.
The vantage point of Dornbirn, the “”cart”” can be reached by cable car or on foot. Once at the top station in the Panorama Restaurant enjoys a beautiful view over the Rhine Valley, Switzerland to Lake Constance. From this starting point, numerous hiking trails extend around the cart.
In the interactive museum of natural history “”inatura”” you can learn everything about the local flora and fauna. A museum for young and old, which is inviting interested parties to actively experience the exhibitions.
