Today’s ruins show mine was the largest castle in Upper Austria. It can be seen, the keep was developed by a newly-built stairs.
With an area of 17,500 sq mtrs, it was the largest castle in Upper Austria. The decay of the castle began in the second half of the 17th Century.
The core of the system is surrounded by a ring the main castle wall. In this there are the remains of the conspicuous 32 meter high keep, representative of the manor (palace), the Chapel and other outbuildings.
