The Pilgrims´ Church in Maria Bild, built 1791 – 1793, is surely the most famous landmark of Weichselbaum, granting a marvellous view of the countryside of the Southern Burgenland. Since the summer of 1999 a pilgrims´ footpath (comprising the “Engelweg”, “Rosenweg” and “Wasserweg” paths) can be walked – the perfect way to recover in peaceful and unspoilt surroundings.
