It is located 37 KM towards South from District head quarters Satara. 15 KM from Patan. 255 KM from State capital Mumbai. Chafal was a province of Samarth Ramdas Swami. Shri Shivaji Maharaj and Samarth Ramdas Swami met here. There is a beautiful Temple of Shrirama was established by Samarth Ramdas Swami. Chafal is a birth place of famous poet, Yashwant.
