Shiva Temple Koteshwara is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located on the northern shores of the Wardha River in Deoli Tehsil of Wardha. It is believed that the Koti ‘yagna’ was performed by rishi Vashishta at this temple and the sand spread across is regarded as the ‘bhasma’ in yagna.

It is believed that the Ramayana rishi Vashishta had performed Koti yagna here. This place is on the north bank of the river Wardha on which the Hemadpanthi temple of Lord Shiva. The sand near by place of temple is resembles with the Bhasma in Yadnya. Therefore this place became pious for pilgrims like Kashi.
