Chamoli Gopeshwar is a town that is located in the Chamoli district of the state of Uttarakhand. The town is located around 1300 meters above sea level and it is well known for the temples that can be seen here. Some of the temples that are located in and around the town of Chamoli Gopeshwar are Abusuya Devi, Tungnath and Rudranath. There is a temple known as the Gopinath Mandir that is located here and it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The town of Badrinath is located near Gopeshwar and one can visit the various sites in the place as well. By Train : The nearest railway station to Gopeshwar is Rishikesh. Rishikesh railway station, about 210 km southwest of Gopeshwar, is the nearest railhead. Taxis and buses are available from Rishikesh to reach Gopeshwar.

By BUS : The town is connected by state run buses and these are affordable and frequent. Buses ply to Chamoli Gopeshwar from places such as Haridwar Dehradun, and Rishikesh regularly. Tickets from Dehradun cost around Rs 150.
