Mbabane

Serving as an excellent base for exploring this country, Mbabane is the administrative capital and the largest city in Swaziland. Situated at an elevation of 4,078 feet above mean sea level, within the Mdimba Mountains along the Mbabane River and its tributary; Mbabane features a milder and moderate form of humid sub-tropical climate where snowfall, although rare, has happened three times since 1900. Although this town does not have much to offer as tourist attractions, it has two small shopping malls, a few hotels, a bus and taxi stand along with few days of open markets.
In close proximity to a game reserve, a cultural village and a few industries, Mbabane is presently home to around 100,000 people. Served by the Manzini International Airport, which is perhaps the only one in the country, Mbabane is also connected to South Africa and Mozambique through a roadway network.
