Monrovia is the capital and the largest city of Liberia, founded in 1822 and named after US President James Monroe, who favored to rehabilitate the freed African-American slaves. Located on the Atlantic Coast, the stunning beaches are prime attractions of this city, where visitors enjoy thrilling watersports activities like swimming, fishing, snorkeling and many others. The Sapo National Park is the real attraction of Monrovia, where wildlife enthusiasts will encounter several rare species of flora and fauna, including lions, zebras, leopards and many more.
