Hotel Description:The Green Path Eco Apartment Hotel was opened in June 2008 being the very first of its kind in Bangalore. The vision was to create more than just an ordinary apartment hotel.Even though the building was not designed as a green building initially, every effort was made to transform the hotel into a hub of eco-lifestyle after completion. This was done by adding rainwater harvesting facilities with water tanks, solar heaters on the rooftop and a bio-mass system that provides gass to the hotel restaurant. The wood used in the pillars of the lobby has been recycled and all the furniture comes from sustainable sources. Special reverse-osmosis water filters provide high quality drinking water free of cost in every apartment unit and help to avoid excess plastic in the form of bottles. A variety of plants and trees around Green Path bring a pleasant atmosphere and add to the special character of the building demonstrating that urban farming is easy and possible even on a small balcony or terrace. We have chosen many edible plants like banana, mango or herbs to inspire people to start gardening at their home. At Green Path we also encourage our guests to participate in saving nature. By changing the bed sheets or towels less often the guests can help us to save a lot of precious water and resources.
