Hotel Description:Mashobra has some amazingly beautiful spots that as yet have not been crowded out. Noted for its apple orchards and thick woods of oak and pine, Mashobra is a sylvan retreat with pretty walks and picnic spots. Approx 7100 feet above sea level at the hill that commands a good view of the region, the Camp NatureTrails is located in Mashobra.Mashobra has a temperate climate with four distinct seasons. In the summer months of April to June, wild flowers fill the meadows, and the air is cool, fresh and pine-scented. The rainy season from July to August has an appeal of its own with misty mountains and glorious sunsets. September to November is pleasant and bracing, while winter is crisp and invigorating with snow and bright, sunny weather. The Camp NatureTrails has 20 tents which can be used on Double / Triple Share. Each tent has cots and mattresses and a sleeping bag. The tents are 12 feet X 12 feet and have an extension canopy of 4 feet for a sit out. All the meals are cooked and served fresh from the Camp Kitchen at the common dining area. The meal timings are fixed and food is usually served in a buffet style. The camp has a separate sit out area for evening bonfires. Excursions are possible to Shali Peak- the highest point in the area or to Cragnano (3 km) with its elegant guest house set in a delightful flower-filled garden. (9.6 kms). Mashobra with its thickly forested hills and salubrious climate is an ideal getaway for both adventure and relaxation. More thickly forested than Shimla, Mashobra was greatly favoured by those who enjoyed trekking and camping in the hills. The best known is the annual picnic held during the colorful Sipi fair in the middle of May. Mahasu, Kufri, and Fagu are other scenic spots further up from Mashobra. The beautiful spur of Naldehra, which was a favourite camping ground during the Raj, is about six km four miles away.
