Holetown is the oldest town in Barbados, was originally named Jamestown, after its benefactor, King James I of England. This place is also one of the most exclusive resorts of the island offering amazing natural and man-made vistas. Paynes Bay, Pratts Rock, Sandy Lane Bay and Alleynes Bay are beaches of Holetown which are perfect for a variety of watersports.
The Holetown Festival is also a widely celebrated event which commemorates the anniversary of the first settlement of Barbados at Holetown in February 1627. The week-long festival highlights local arts and crafts and Barbadian culture and history. Holetown Monument, 3Ws Monument, Folkestone Marine Park, Sir Frank Hutson Sugar Museum, Flower Forest, Farley Hill National Park and many more are popular tourist attractions at Holetown in Barbados.
