The historic colonial city of Livingstone serves as the capital of the Southern Province of Zambia. The city acts as a spring board for visiting the World famous Victoria Falls that are located at a distance of just 10 km. Livingstone offers adventure sport enthusiasts with some of the best bungee jumping and white water rafting opportunities. The city is named after the famous explorer and missionary David Livingstone.
Old Victorian era buildings with large open verandas are dotted around the city. These buildings attract tourists towards its architectural brilliance. The Maramba Cultural Museum in Livingstone is one of the top museums in Zambia, renowned for showcasing the famous arts and crafts of the district. Besides this, Livingstone Museum housing the regions archeological artifacts is also worth visiting.
