The vibrant and attractive city of San Fernando is situated on the most famous hills in Trinidad – Fernando Hill or ‘Anaparima’. From the top of the hill, excellent views of the outline of Venezuela and the Northern Range are clearly visible. The city is also renowned for its carnivals, parades and wide ranging competitions that are held at Skinner Park.
There are plenty of places to visit in San Fernando like the famous King’s Wharf and the City Hall. Tourists interested in watching live concerts and shows make it a point to visit the Harris Promenade that features an amphitheatre. Gulf City Shopping Complex is renowned for offering excellent shopping opportunities and is the best place from where visitors can collect some souvenirs. Besides this, the San Fernando Mission is not to be missed while in the city.
