The lake Railroad depository (reporting mark LSRX) could be a railroad depository in port, Minnesota. The depository has seven steam, fourteen diesel and 2 electrical locomotives, and over forty different items of wheeled vehicle. The gathering includes the William Crooks, that became the primary locomotive to control within the state of Gopher State in 1861, and also the port, Missabe and Iron vary Railway range 227, a 2-8-8-4 “Yellowstone” locomotive that was among the most important steam engines to ever operate.
The building within which the depository is housed is former port Union Depot – currently the St. Louis County Heritage and humanities Center’s Historic Union Depot; the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The depot conjointly homes the port Arts Institute, port Children’s depository, port toy, the Duluth-Superior orchestra, and the St. Louis County Historical Society.
