Detail InformationEdit

The Verdugo Hills of Peace Pioneer site, or Verdugo Hills site, set in Tujunga, l. A. , California, opened in 1922 and enclosed 1976. The l. A. Workplace of Historic Resources describes the four-acre site: By the first Seventies the cemetery had fallen into unsoundness, in line with the l. A. Times, and lost its license in 1976.
On Feb ten, 1978, when days of torrential rains, a colossal landslide occurred within the San archangel Mountains foothills on top of Tujunga. The result was the unearthing of an oversized section of the site and corpses being strewn throughout the realm. The rain had been running into holes created by gophers and saturated the planet. Once the slope gave approach, unsound caskets stony-broke open and their contents were frantic.
