Nambé Oweenge Pueblo could be a pueblo in Santa Fe County, New Mexico, u. S.. Settled concerning fifteen miles north of Santa Fe at the bottom of the Sangre DE Cristo Mountains. The Pueblo of Nambé has existed since the fourteenth century and was a primary cultural, economic, and spiritual center at the time of the arrival of Spanish colonists within the terribly early seventeenth century. Nambé was one among the Pueblos that organized and took part within the Pueblo Revolt of 1680. The 2000 u. S. Census estimates the Nambé population at 558.
Nambé is that the Spanish version of a similar-sounding Tewa word, which might be understood loosely as which means “rounded earth.” The word “pueblo” stems from the Spanish word for “village.” Pueblo refers to the Southwestern vogue design and also the folks themselves. The 2000 u. S. Census surveyed the Nambé population at 558. The complete population living at Nambé Pueblo, in line with the 2010 u. S. Census, is 1,611.
