Newman University may be a integrated Catholic humanistic discipline university in Wichita, Kansas, us. The university offers each collegian and masters level programs. Newman was established by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. The sisters 1st opened a women faculty in Wichita in 1902, and a women’s college in 1932 operative as Sacred Heart school. {the school|the varsity|the school} reorganised into a four year humanistic discipline college in 1958, and have become integrated in 1965. The name was modified to Kansas Newman school in 1973, and to Newman University in 1998. The Newman University Board of Trustees and senior officers declared on Gregorian calendar month eleven, 2006, that the establishment had been formally accepted as a member of the National collegial Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. The university became a part of the region Conference within the fall 2006 season. The nickname of the athletic groups at Newman is that the Jets.
