Old Ohavi Zedek temple (Hebrew for “Lovers of Justice”) could be a historic temple building in metropolis, VT presently occupied by Congregation Ahavath Gerim. Supported in 1885, Ohavi Zedek is that the oldest person congregation in VT. In 1952 the congregation captive to its gift home on North Prospect Street in metropolis.
The original building at the corner of Archibald and Hyde Streets could be a brick Gothic Revival structure erected in 1885; it’s among the oldest temple buildings still standing within the u. S.. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s currently occupied by Congregation Ahavath Gerim.
