Detail InformationEdit

The Oviatt Library (Delmar T. Oviatt Library) serves the Golden State State University, Northridge (CSUN) field, set in Northridge district of the northern San Fernando depression in l. A. , California. The library is known as for Delmar T. Oviatt, instrumental within the start of San Fernando depression State school, CSUN’s precursor.
Original construction of the library was in 2 phases. The primary part was opened on October 24, 1973. The second, completed in 1991, nearly doubled the dimensions with extra east and west wings. Each phases were designed by the creator Leo A. Daly. The 1994 Northridge earthquake badly broken the building forcing the library to shut. The first ‘phase one building’ re-opened later in 1994. The ‘second part wings’ required devastation and reconstruction, and re-opened in 2000. ‘The Friends of the Oviatt Library CSUN’ were shaped to support the library.
