The East eightieth Street homes ar a gaggle of 4 connected rowhouses thereon street within the big apple town borough of Manhattan. They’re engineered of brick with numerous stone trims in numerous versions of the Colonial Revival style of architecture.
They were in-built the Twenties as homes for rich New Yorkers of that era, together with Vincent Astor, carriage Dillon and Saint George Whitney. All were selected town landmarks by 1967, the primary cluster of homes on the higher side therefore recognized.[note 1] In 1980, all four homes were listed on the National Register of Historic Places as intact living samples of high-style townhouses for affluent homebuyers of that point amount.
