The Lake George Patrol Cabin was inbuilt 1934 by the parkland Service in Mount Rainier parkland as a backcountry patrol station and hiker’s shelter. The single-story wood-frame building measures regarding twenty six.5 feet (8.1 m) by one2 feet (3.7 m). At first meant as a stalls, it had been regenerate for ranger accommodation, commutation a 1921 structure. The primary cabin survived till 1969, once it had been destroyed by a falling tree.
The cabin was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March thirteen, 1991. It’s a part of the Mount Rainier National Historic Landmark District, that encompasses the whole park and that acknowledges the park’s inventory of Park Service-designed rustic design.
