The Portland depository may be a native history depository in Louisville, Kentucky. It details the history of the Portland neighborhood through many permanent and monthly exhibits. The depository was established in 1978 by many native faculty academics. In 1982 all exhibits were affected to the 1852 Beech Grove Estate mansion on Portland Avenue. a bigger wing has since been supplemental to the side of the building. many gardens square measure settled directly behind the depository, emulating the nineteenth century garden that the buildings original homeowners had.
