San Fernando Pioneer Memorial memorial park, earlier referred to as Morningside memorial park, may be a memorial park within the Sylmar district of la. Placed on a three.8 acre (15,000 m²) web site at the corner of hill avenue and Bledsoe Street, the Pioneer memorial park was originally a ten acre (400,000 m²) web site. The memorial park was established within the mid-19th century and used till 1939. It had been well-known at the time because the San Fernando memorial park and conjointly because the Morningside memorial park and is that the oldest non-sectarian memorial park within the San Fernando natural depression.
After the memorial park determined to be wrongfully abandoned in 1959, it had been nonheritable by the Native Daughters of the Golden West, San Fernando Mission Chapter, and maintained as a pioneer land site. Edith Reber, an extended time resident of Sylmar and a vigorous member of the Chamber, for several years ran a volunteer effort to keep up the grounds with the assistance of native volunteer teams. It’s placed on what’s presently the corner of hill avenue and Bledsoe Street.
