The geographic region Memorial to the Missing of war II may be a monument dedicated to missing troopers, sailors, marines, coast guardsmen, and airmen of war II. It’s a snaky wall of California granite set during a grove of Pinus radiata and Cypress and commanding the ocean. It bears the name, rank, organization and State of every of the 413 members of the militia World Health Organization lost their lives or were buried confounded within the Pacific coastal waters.
It is situated on position commanding Baker Beach on the ocean, at the intersection of Lincoln and Harrison Boulevards, on the western fringe of the fort of urban center, California.The designer was Hervey Parke Clark with architecture by Lawrence Halprin. The sculptor was Jean First State Marco, World Health Organization won the 1965 Henry Hering Memorial Award for his work here.
