The DeVinne Press Building, situated at 393-399 Lafayette Street at the corner of East fourth Street, within the NoHo district of lower Manhattan, ny town, could be a brick structure, in-built 1885-1886 and designed by the firm of Babb, Cook & Willard in architectural {style|style of architecture|type of architecture} Revival style. Associate in Nursing addition was created to the building in 1892.
Theodore Low First State Vinne, a number one ny typesetter and printer had the building created for his company. DeVinne died in 1914, and by 1922, the corporate ceased operations. The building was purchased in 1982 by the late male monarch Fisher. It’s currently occupied by the Astor Center, owned by the Fisher family. The Devinne Press Building was selected a brand new royal line town landmark in 1966, and was supplemental to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
