Church of the great Shepherd and Parish home is a historic church at a hundred and fifty five Wyllys Street in state capital, Connecticut. It had been commissioned by Elizabeth Jarvis Colt, the widow of Samuel Colt. The buildings were designed by Edward Tuckerman Potter. The church was inbuilt 1867 and also the parish house completed in 1896.
The church was designed as a memorial to Samuel Colt United Nations agency died in 1862 and 3 of his youngsters United Nations agency died in infancy. The parish house was inbuilt 1895 as a memorial to Colt’s son Caldwell Hart Colt United Nations agency died in 1894. Potter had start off of retirement to style this building. The church and parish house were extra to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
