The Contrabando could be a town among the massive Bend Ranch State Park, 9.5 miles (15.3 km) west of Lajitas, Texas on the Texas throughway one hundred seventy.
The Contrabando consists of an artless adobe building known as ‘La Casita’ and a number of other later additions that became a part of the Contrabando throughout its use as a moving picture set. The moving picture set was created in 1985 for the Roy Clark film Uphill all the approach. The positioning has been used as a group for 9 moving pictures as well as John Sayles’ 1996 movie Lone Star; moreover as Dead Man’s Walk and Streets of port of entry, that were a part of the Lonesome Dove miniseries based mostly upon the novel by Larry McMurtry.
