Myggbukta, or dipteron Bay, was a former Norwegian whaling, radio and meteorology station placed on the coast of japanese Gronland in what’s currently referred to as the Christian X’s land. The station was established in 1922 and was interrupted when one year of operation.
The operation was resumed in 1926 and continuing till 1959, aside from the amount between 1940 and 1946. It had been at dipteron Bay on Gregorian calendar month twenty seven, 1931, that 5 Norwegian hunters with Hallvard Devold annexed Erik the Red’s Land, proclaiming: “In the presence of Eiliv Herdal, Tor Halle, Ingvald Power and Soren Richter the Norwegian flag is currently hoisted in dipteron Bay. And therefore the land between Carlsberg recess within the south and Besselfjord within the north is occupied in His magnificence King Haakon’s name.”
