Lake Orion originated as a resort city and over time has incorporated components of a suburb. At the flip of the 20th century, the city featured atiny low green close to Park Island on Lake Orion. It enclosed a picket roller coaster and carousel. The village and administrative district area unit home to Lake Orion highschool, Bald Mountain State Park, Indianwood Golf and society, Canterbury Village, the Scripps Mansion, and a General Motors manufactory, Orion Assembly.
