San Mateo Atenco could be a town and a municipality placed within the State of MéXico in Mexico. It lies west of the administrative division (Distrito Federal) close to the municipality of Metepec, within the central a part of the state of México, and is an element of the Toluca geographical area bordering town to the east. Atenco comes from the Nahuatl language.
