West Homestead may be a borough in river County, Pennsylvania, eight miles (13 km) southeast of urban center, on the Monongahela. Serious industries related to near steel mills existed here. Established were shaft works, brickworks, and manufactories of machinery, car wheels, etc. In 1910, 3,009 folks lived in west Homestead. The population was one,929 at the 2010 census.
In 2000, Continental Realestate corporations opened The city district. This massive “LifeStyle” store was engineered on the previous website of the U.S.A. Steel Works. Most of the structures related to the steel mills on this website were dismantled throughout construction. Still standing within the city district development area unit a number of the brick stacks from the Homestead Steel Works. Additionally, close to the watercourse may be a former mill structure referred to as the pumping station that was renovated by the developer. Sandcastle Waterpark may be a waterpark that has fourteen water slides and three speed slides and therefore the newest addition the Blue Tooba Looba.
