The Wigman home is a historic yank Queen Anne house within the Carrick neighborhood of urban center, Pennsylvania. It’s a town of urban center selected Historic Structure. The four-bedroom home was made in 1896 for William H. Wigman, the owner of Wigman Lumber on the side. The owner of a neighboring funeral parlour, congresswoman Harry Readshaw, wanted to buy and demolish the building for parking for his funeral parlour, across the road to the property.Members of the Carrick-Overbrook Historical Society wanted to dam Readshaw’s purchase by nominating the house for historic standing, vocation it “the last remaining example of many homes of the rich side aristocracy UN agency lived in Carrick.” The house owners, the McClory family, opposed the nomination, involved that the designation would damage its possibilities to sell. The Young Preservationists Association of urban center identifies the building as a top-priority historic preservation chance.
