Merrick could be a hamlet within the city of Hempstead in capital of the Bahamas County, New York, USA. As of the 2010 census, the CDP population was twenty two,097. The name “Merrick” is taken from Meroke, the name (meaning peaceful) of the Algonquian tribe erstwhile native to the realm. It’s served by the Merrick station on the island Rail Road.
