The north neighborhood within the town, Sylmar is found east of interstate five and north of the town of San Fernando. Sylmar was once the location of the World’s second largest olive groves[citation needed]hence its name, which implies “Silver ocean (Ocean)” as that’s what the world looked from the hills & mountains higher than [Silver (English), mar (Spanish) combined].
