Ixlu may be a tiny Maya archaeologic website that dates to the Classic and Postclassic Periods. it’s settled on the isthmus between the Petén Itzá and Salpetén lakes, within the northern Petén Department of Guatemala. the location was a very important port with access to Lake Petén Itzá via the Ixlu stream. the location has been known as Saklamakhal, conjointly corn Saclemacal, a capital of the Kowoj Maya.
