The Lyman House Memorial deposit, conjointly called the Lyman deposit, is a Hilo, Hawaii-based explanation deposit based in 1931 within the Lyman family mission house, originally in-built 1838.The mission house was additional to the National Register of Historic Places on March twenty four, 1978 as web site 78001012.Almost a century once the missionaries, a deposit was based in 1931 by their descendents.In the late Nineteen Sixties noted creator Vladimir Ossipoff designed and designed a deposit building adjacent to the mission house. Upon its completion, the deposit moved there and expanded its exhibits. It’s in depth displays on Hawaiian culture and is known for its assortment of shells and minerals, together with a specimen of orlymanite, named for city Hammond Lyman (1903–1986), the museum’s founder and nice grandchild of David and Sarah Lyman.
